Job Summary:

The Environmental Services Specialist is essential in ensuring that every patient, visitor, and staff member experiences a clean, safe, and sanitized environment conducive to healing and outstanding patient care.

This role involves planning daily tasks with necessary supplies, managing time effectively, prioritizing urgent cleaning needs, and adjusting work pace according to the hospital's requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Performing thorough cleaning of patient rooms after discharge to maintain a sterile environment that complies with established cleaning standards.
  • Conducting daily sanitation of various areas including patient rooms, administrative offices, public spaces, and clinical environments.
  • Maintaining cleaning practices that meet or exceed the hospital's established protocols.
  • Building professional relationships with colleagues, leadership, and patients while communicating cleaning needs effectively.
  • Engaging in continuous physical activity throughout the shift and adapting to the dynamic needs of the hospital.

Experience Requirements:
A minimum of one year in a role that emphasizes customer service skills is required.

Educational Qualifications:
A High School diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Special Skills:
Demonstrates excellent customer service skills with a positive and supportive demeanor. Works collaboratively in a team setting and communicates professionally with others. Capable of meeting the demands of a fast-paced work environment while adapting to changing priorities. Exhibits initiative in problem-solving and critical thinking.

Proficient in using technology and computers to perform essential job functions.
