The primary function of this role is to design and support KHS equipment for bottle washer, tunnel pasteurizer, warmers, re-coolers, and create washers. The successful candidate will work closely with customers and project management colleagues to plan and implement tunnel pasteurizers in complete lines, prepare customer presentations, and support KHS equipment deployed in the field.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with the design team to develop equipment that moves and processes fluids through beverage or food systems, applying knowledge of mechanical and chemical engineering principles.
  • Design and create technical data and specifications for bottle cleaning machines, tunnel pasteurizers, warmers, coolers, and crate washers, taking into account thermodynamic calculations.
  • Conduct technical layout and risk assessment, as well as order clarification, to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Analyze and interpret technical drawings, schematics, process flow diagrams, and computer-generated reports to inform design decisions.
  • Determine the appropriate third-party components for complex processing systems, involving pumps, valves, heat exchangers, instrumentation, and other equipment.
  • Integrate European and American standards into engineering design and performance specifications, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Interact with production teams to verify and test equipment, providing technical assistance and support to sales, service, and purchasing teams as needed.
  • Verify performance of equipment to meet customer needs prior to shipment.
  • Troubleshoot performance issues in the field with field service and customer technical representatives, analyzing KHS components and taking action to ensure proper functioning.
  • Utilize computer-aided design tools to review drawings and maintain Bill of Materials, processing Engineering Change Orders, and updating drawing databases.
Your Profile:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or a related field.
  • At least three years' experience in engineering processing equipment in a food or beverage packaging/processing environment, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Mastery of MS Office applications.
  • Ability to demonstrate proficiency within a reasonable period in KHS USA ERP system.
  • Proficiency in dimensioning mechanical parts and assemblies in AutoCAD, Solidworks, or equivalent CADD applications.
  • Proficiency with material sciences and basic electrical systems.
  • Familiarity with ERP systems, such as SAP, is desired.
  • Ability to travel up to 50% of the time.
  • Valid Passport and driver's license are required.
