As a phlebotomist at UnityPoint Health, you'll play a critical role in delivering clinical and non-clinical services to support patient-centered care. You'll be responsible for timely, accurate, and efficient blood specimen collection, which contributes directly to patient care and patient experience.

Responsibilities:

Obtain adequate blood specimens from inpatients, outpatients, emergency care, and non-patient services. Label all specimens in accordance with standards and support the LEAN principles of one piece flow and first in first out when delivering patient samples to the laboratory. Adhere to standard work processes and meet productivity standards. Exercise judgment in determining work priority and interact with nursing units and clients to ascertain critical priorities and verify discrepancies.

Qualifications:

High school graduate or equivalent required. Must be able to read, write, and speak fluent English. Successful completion of a phlebotomy course is preferred. We're an equal opportunity employer and welcome applications from diverse candidates.
