Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacist to join our team at CHRISTUS Health. As a Clinical Pharmacist, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and dispense medication orders according to established policies and procedures.
  • Interpret and transcribe medication orders into patient records accurately.
  • Compound and dispense pharmaceuticals, including non-sterile and sterile products, chemotherapy, and parenteral nutrition products.
  • Issue controlled substances to patient care areas and maintain records as required by law and institutional policies.
  • Provide clinical consultation and clarification to practitioners as needed.
  • Participate in quality improvement and medication use review activities.
  • Conduct designated interventions, such as IV to PO conversions and renal dosing support.
Requirements
  • Doctor of Pharmacy or BS Pharmacy degree required.
  • Hospital experience preferred.
  • Pharmacy registration in the State of practice.
  • Must have pharmacy State licensure within 60 days of start date.
  • BLS or ACLS and PALS (pediatric practice) within 180 days of start date.
