Capital Markets Manager

UGE International is seeking a highly skilled Capital Markets Manager to join our team. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for managing the closing, optimization, and ongoing management of related financing, including development, construction, term debt, and tax equity.

The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of project finance experience and will work alongside the CEO, CFO, and MD, Investments with corporate-level financing. This role can be structured as remote or hybrid depending on the location of the applicant.

Responsibilities
  • Lead negotiations, structuring, and execution with financing counterparties (debt and tax equity)
  • Develop and maintain relationships with potential sources of capital
  • Efficiently manage deal processes to close on various sources of capital (tax equity, construction debt, term debt, development, and capital and other products)
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that projects are being financed efficiently
  • Ensure that ongoing compliance of financing structures is timely and fulsome
  • Source and vet partners for financing UGE's growing portfolio of assets, while ensuring financing costs are minimized and aligned with project profitability
  • Maintain a strategic perspective on financing plans for the Company at the project, portfolio, and corporate-wide level
Qualifications
  • Track record of successful financings in the same or very similar industry
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong supervisory and leadership skills
  • Understanding of solar financing structures
  • Rolodex of financing partners and individuals within the sector
