Instructional Support Specialist

Job Summary

This position is responsible for providing additional educational support to students enrolled in the Cornerstone program. The successful candidate will work closely with the Cornerstone program facilitator to deliver high-quality support services.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with students in small groups or individually to address specific areas of need.
  • Assist with grade monitoring and attendance of students in the Cornerstone Program.
  • Meet with families of new enrollees to facilitate enrollment and school placement.
  • Support the program facilitator with projects and other tasks.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 48 hours of college credit or the ability to pass the Title I assessment test (if the school building is classified as Title I).
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Basic math skills, including calculations using fractions, percents, and/or ratios.
  • Ability to read and write documents following prescribed formats.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work with a diverse range of individuals and adapt to changing situations.
Physical Requirements

This position requires light work, involving occasional lifting of up to 20 pounds and frequent sitting, walking, and standing.
