Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist physicians with various aspects of patient care, including clerical, environmental, and organizational tasks.
  • Collect patient information, take vitals, and perform screenings as per provider guidelines.
  • Send and receive patient medical records, ensuring confidentiality and compliance with HIPAA regulations.
  • Prepare patient rooms, set up instruments, and manage inventory of supplies.
  • Check schedules, organize patient flow, and answer calls to provide pertinent information.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of medical terminology, examination, diagnostic, and treatment room responsibilities.
  • Successful completion of Medical Assistant Program or equivalent hospital program, or successful completion of certification examination (AMT, AAMA, NAHP, NCCT, or NHA).
