Job Description
In this role, you will be responsible for enforcing laws, detecting and preventing crime, and protecting life and property. You will also be required to establish relationships with the community, respond to emergency situations, and work collaboratively with other law enforcement agencies. Your duties will include patrolling assigned areas, conducting investigations, gathering evidence, and collaborating with other agencies to share information and resources.

Responsibilities
* Enforce laws and regulations to ensure public safety
* Investigate crimes and gather evidence to solve cases
* Respond to emergency situations, such as accidents, robberies, and domestic disputes
* Collaborate with other law enforcement agencies to share information and resources
* Establish relationships with the community through outreach and engagement programs
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current on best practices and new technologies

Requirements
* Completion of a two- or four-year Law Enforcement or Criminal Justice Degree through a Professional Peace Officer Education Program
* Pass the Minnesota P.O.S.T Licensing Exam or equivalent
* Authorized to work in the United States
* Must not have a felony conviction
* Must successfully pass the MPD background investigation
* Must maintain physical fitness levels according to standards set by the Minneapolis Police Department as a term and condition of continued employment
* Must pass thorough background investigation that includes meeting department standards regarding acceptable employment history, honesty, driving and conviction records

Salary
The estimated salary for this position is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. With opportunities for growth and advancement, you will be rewarded for your hard work and dedication.
