Key Responsibilities

The Residential Maintenance Specialist will report directly to the Facilities Manager and will play a crucial role in ensuring the property is well-maintained and operational.

  • Respond promptly to customer service requests as assigned
  • Conduct daily inspections of mechanical systems, recreational facilities, and address any safety concerns
  • Perform repairs on plumbing, electrical systems, HVAC, and heating units
  • Prepare and turn over vacant units/suites for new residents
  • Maintain cleanliness of grounds and shared spaces
  • Execute light carpentry tasks
  • Carry out drywall repairs and finishing work
  • Perform touch-up painting as needed
  • Participate in after-hours on-call duties as required
  • Ensure the interior and exterior of the property are kept clean and orderly
  • Address immediate safety hazards affecting residents and guests (e.g., fire alarms, trip hazards)

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • HVAC certification is preferred
  • Valid driver's license and current automobile insurance
  • Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
  • Excellent customer service abilities
  • Attention to detail and a sense of urgency in task completion
  • Ability to follow instructions effectively
  • Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor with residents and team members
