Assistant Apartment Maintenance Manager

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Apartment Maintenance Manager in mentoring, training, and supervising the service team to uphold company goals, policies, and values.
  • Abide by the on-call schedule, responding to emergencies after hours of operations.
  • Recommend and assist with the budget to ensure sufficient inventory for repairs and complete capital projects as budgeted.
  • Organize and complete daily tasks, including curb appeal, move-out inspections, turns, service requests, and capital projects.
  • Build and manage relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure high-quality work and compliance with company and government standards.
  • Assist with maintaining team training and certifications, ensuring compliance with company, local, state, and federal requirements.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 4 years of experience in apartment maintenance or a related field, or trade school certification in HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, electricity, or a related field and 3 years of experience in apartment maintenance or a related field.
  • EPA 608 Type I & II certification required.
  • CPO certification required.
  • CAMT designation required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, landscape, painting, carpentry, and swimming pools.
  • Demonstrated ability to use a smart device and a computer.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide high-level customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team productively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work outside for long periods in various weather conditions.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
