Assistant Apartment Maintenance Manager

As a key member of the HHHunt team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the maintenance and upkeep of our apartment communities. Your primary responsibility will be to assist the Apartment Maintenance Manager in mentoring, training, and supervising the service team to uphold all goals, policies, and values.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist the Apartment Maintenance Manager with daily activities, including curb appeal, move-out inspections, turns, service requests, and capital projects.
  • Abide by the on-call schedule, responding to emergencies after hours of operation.
  • Recommend and assist the Apartment Maintenance Manager with budgeting to ensure sufficient inventory for repairs and assist with capital projects.
  • Build and manage relationships with vendors and contractors to ensure high-quality work and compliance with company and government standards.
  • Assist with scheduling community and preventative maintenance inspections and notify the Apartment Maintenance Manager of any changes or complications.
  • Communicate daily with the Apartment Maintenance Manager and Office Team to stay informed of changes or address concerns.
  • Deliver exceptional customer service, upholding company goals, policies, and standards.
  • Maintain the team's required training and certifications, scheduling as needed.
  • Ensure the community is clean, safe, and neat for residents and team members.
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent and 4 years of experience in apartment maintenance or a related field, or trade school certification in HVAC, carpentry, plumbing, electricity, or a related field and 3 years of experience in apartment maintenance or a related field.
  • EPA 608 Type I & II certification required.
  • CPO certification required.
  • CAMT designation required.
  • Demonstrated knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, appliances, landscape, painting, carpentry, and swimming pools.
  • Demonstrated ability to use a smart device and a computer.
  • Demonstrated ability to provide exceptional customer service.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team productively.
  • Demonstrated ability to work outside for extended periods in various weather conditions.
  • Valid driver's license required.

The compensation range for this position is $29.31-$43.97 based on experience and certifications, with overtime and bonus pay available.
