Job Summary

Luna Labs USA LLC is seeking a highly motivated Research Scientist to support its fast-paced research and development initiatives focused on advancing materials technologies. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in areas such as corrosion-resistant coatings, multifunctional barrier coatings, polymeric composites, inorganic ceramic materials, or electromagnetic signature control materials.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct experiments and procedures within a lab setting, including thermal, physical, and analytical testing and analysis.
  • Maintain and operate laboratory equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
  • Analyze and interpret raw data, summarizing and reporting findings in timely technical reports.
  • Support early product development through literature reviews, sourcing of equipment and components, and assembly of systems and prototypes for ongoing research.
  • Demonstrate strong communication and technical writing skills, producing clear and concise technical summaries.

Estimated Salary: $85,000 - $110,000 per year, depending on experience.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
  • Experience in laboratory research, with a strong understanding of materials science principles.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment, prioritizing multiple projects and tasks.
  • Strong commitment to quality, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
