The Commonwealth of Virginia is committed to advancing the field of genome stability in cancer and other genetic disorders. We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Research Associate to join our team in the Department of Radiation Oncology.

We offer a 12-month appointment with the possibility of renewal contingent upon satisfactory performance and the availability of funding. The successful candidate will be involved in full-time research or scholarship at the University of Virginia.

This position is located in Charlottesville, VA, and offers an excellent opportunity for career growth and development. As a postdoctoral researcher, you will have the chance to work with a vibrant team that thrives on collaboration and publish the results of your research during the training period.

To qualify for this position, candidates must have a PhD and/or MD. A strong background in DNA replication, DNA damage/repair, and chromatin biology is preferred. Experience in epigenetics, proteomics, and translational research is also highly valued.

As a member of our team, you will be expected to be self-motivated and career-oriented, able to work independently and perform research on your own initiative, and collaborate with fellow students in the lab and department.

The estimated annual salary for this position is $55,000 - $65,000, depending on qualifications and experience. This is an exempt-level, benefitted position.
