Imaging Research Associate – Academic Support Staff

Job Summary
The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks a highly skilled Research Associate to join our team in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. degree and a minimum of three years of postdoctoral research experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct experiments related to the development and implementation of magnetic resonance spectroscopy and optical imaging applications to preclinical studies of cancer.
- Participate in multinuclear metabolic studies directed to the early detection of response to therapy.
- Collaborate with other members of the lab in their research areas and provide contributions to further development of the research program.
- Develop an individual training experience in research that allows the individual to attain personal career objectives while developing a career in an academic setting.
Requirements
- Ph.D. degree in a relevant field.
- Minimum of three years of postdoctoral research experience.
- Knowledge of data processing software.
- Outstanding writing and communication skills as demonstrated by a successful publication record.
- Experience with clinical and/or small animal MRI scanners is a plus.
