Job Summary

Acme EGV is seeking a highly skilled CNC Machinist to join our team. As a CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC turning and milling machines to produce high-quality parts.

Key Responsibilities
  • Machine Setup and Operation
    • Identify and gather necessary tooling, fixtures, and jaws for efficient setup
    • Install and program tools into machines
    • Run and inspect first pieces and production parts as required
    • Make adjustments (offsets, etc.) until parts are machined within specifications
    • Follow established procedures for parts out of tolerance
  • Production and Machine Operation
    • Run multiple machines simultaneously as required
    • Efficiently operate CNC lathes, machining centers, and other equipment
    • Inspect cutting tools for sharpness and continued use
    • Monitor machine operation, detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance features, and make adjustments as needed
    • Report damaged or spent tooling to the supervisor or machine shop manager for repair or replacement
  • Secondary Tasks
    • Deburr, stamp, or perform secondary tasks as required
    • External setup tasks (prepare for the next job by completing setup procedures and staging while running the current job)
    • Operate other machinery as required
    Requirements
    • High school diploma or equivalent
    • Minimum 2 years of related experience
    • Basic math and machining math skills
    • General computer skills
    • Working command of the English language
    • Completion of a CNC Machine Operating Program or equivalent
    Preferred Qualifications
    • CNC Mill (3-4 axis VMC) (Fanuc) experience
    • CNC Mill (5+ axis VMC) experience
