Key Responsibilities:- Conduct repairs and thorough inspections on a range of Class 6-8 trucks and trailers, addressing components such as brakes, diagnostics, A/C systems, electrical systems, engine parts, exhaust systems, after-treatment systems, lift-gates, and tires.
- Oversee and schedule all maintenance activities, including preventive measures and DOT inspections.
- Repair or replace vehicle and trailer components as necessary.
- Manage repair orders using a company-issued device, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Source parts from local suppliers and maintain inventory on the service vehicle.
- Complete DOT forms and all required documentation promptly and accurately.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in diesel repair is preferred.
- Strong communication skills.
- Willingness to work extended or irregular hours, including weekends and holidays as required.
- A valid Driver's License is mandatory.
- Self-motivated with excellent organizational and planning abilities.
- Proficient in using a computer or tablet for electronic processing of work orders, including logging labor hours and updating statuses.
* Experience in conducting annual federal inspections and brake inspections is a plus.
* Salary range: $25-$35/hr, based on experience.
