Inpatient Rehabilitation
Patients requiring an inpatient stay receive care from a multidisciplinary team of specialists, all within a single facility. We are connected to JFK University Medical Center, ensuring access to emergency services, neurology, pulmonology, cardiology, and other essential care as needed. Our dedicated social work team plays a crucial role in facilitating safe transitions to home or other community settings, allowing for a smooth continuation of recovery.
Outpatient Rehabilitation
Our outpatient team offers personalized sessions aimed at enhancing patient function and equipping them with the necessary tools for progress at home. We conduct thorough evaluations and provide targeted treatment for a variety of conditions, also supporting patients recently discharged from our inpatient program.
Key ResponsibilitiesA typical day for the Director of Patient Care Services - Acute Rehabilitation at Hackensack Meridian Health includes:
- Collaborating with senior leadership to formulate departmental budgets and allocate resources effectively. Monitoring expenses and implementing necessary adjustments to ensure optimal utilization of hospital resources.
- Ensuring consistent and high-quality nursing care across the organization, developing and implementing nursing standards and practices that align with patient needs and medical plans.
- Engaging in performance improvement initiatives, promoting a culture of continuous quality enhancement, and evaluating the effectiveness of implemented strategies.
- Providing strategic leadership within areas of responsibility, participating in organizational planning and operational processes, and effectively delegating tasks to team members.
- Contributing to the development of the organization’s strategic plan and ensuring policies and procedures support service delivery.
- Performing additional duties and projects as assigned, while adhering to organizational competencies and standards of conduct.
Required Education, Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing; Master’s degree in Nursing or a related health field.
- A minimum of five years of prior management experience in a healthcare setting.
Licenses and Certifications:
- Current NJ State Professional Registered Nurse License.
