Hackensack Meridian Health is in search of a highly qualified, Board Certified Gastroenterologist to assume the pivotal role of Division Chief for Gastroenterology in Central New Jersey. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading, developing, and managing comprehensive gastroenterology initiatives. We encourage applications from individuals with demonstrated leadership, clinical expertise, effective communication skills, and a strong academic background. The successful candidate will serve as a cohesive leader for GI services, fostering education, research, and scholarship. This position represents a significant leadership opportunity within our expanding health network.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Guide a vibrant team, enhance patient care, and propel the advancement of healthcare delivery in an organization that values innovation and excellence.
  • Collaborate within a network of skilled physicians, specialists, and support personnel who promote a culture of teamwork and mentorship with robust clinical backing.
  • Eligibility for a faculty position at the Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine.
  • Engage in the education of residents, fellows, and students.

  • Access administrative support to develop and expand the Gastroenterology Division.

Qualifications:

  • M.D./D.O. degree from an accredited Medical or Osteopathic School.
  • Completion of a Fellowship in Gastroenterology.
  • Board Certification in Gastroenterology.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of experience demonstrating leadership and clinical proficiency, along with strong communication, academic, and scholarly capabilities, committed to exceptional patient care and the ambition to cultivate a world-class service.
  • Possession or eligibility to obtain a New Jersey Medical License.
  • Valid DEA and CDS certifications.
