Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Culinary Specialist to join our team at Priority Life Care. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for preparing and serving delicious and healthy meals to our residents.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook meals in accordance with established recipes and dietary guidelines.
- Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
- Monitor and record temperatures in refrigerators and freezers to maintain a safe food environment.
- Delegate tasks to the Prep Cooks and Dietary Aides to ensure efficient meal preparation.
- Report any issues or problems to the Dietary Manager to ensure prompt resolution.
- Comply with state and federal sanitation standards and all other applicable health care and safety standards.
- Promote and exemplify the Priority Life Care mission and values at all times.
Requirements:
- High School diploma or equivalent; minimum of 1 year of previous experience in food preparation preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
