Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook meals in accordance with established recipes and dietary guidelines.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and dining areas.
  • Monitor and record temperatures in refrigerators and freezers to maintain a safe food environment.
  • Delegate tasks to the Prep Cooks and Dietary Aides to ensure efficient meal preparation.
  • Report any issues or problems to the Dietary Manager to ensure prompt resolution.
  • Comply with state and federal sanitation standards and all other applicable health care and safety standards.
  • Promote and exemplify the Priority Life Care mission and values at all times.

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent; minimum of 1 year of previous experience in food preparation preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Previous experience in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred.
