Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Pathology Reporting Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and completeness of documents, tests, and patient case reports, allowing our pathologists to focus on patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Transcribe pathology reports, research documents, and administrative materials
  • Coordinate patient case correspondence and materials
  • Order tests and stains for cases
  • Answer telephones and provide follow-up support
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives, including data collection and consultant calendar management
  • Review and ensure accuracy of operating procedures
  • Provide training, education, and mentorship to new and existing team members
  • Troubleshoot and resolve problems
  • Partner with team members to foster an inclusive work environment
Requirements
  • Five years of secretarial experience or an associate degree with three years of experience in healthcare-related operational functions
  • Bachelor's degree and one year of relevant lab experience
  • Experience working with computer software applications, including word processing, spreadsheet, database, and electronic calendaring/scheduling systems
  • Ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment and work collaboratively with various work areas
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as interpersonal relations
