POSITION OVERVIEW

As a Clinical Laboratory Specialist, you are integral to ensuring patient safety and achieving superior clinical outcomes through meticulous specimen evaluation, accurate reporting, and effective problem-solving.

EMPLOYMENT STATUS: Full Time

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology or a related scientific field (Biology, Chemistry, or Physical Sciences) and/or equivalent relevant experience recognized for licensure as a Clinical Laboratory Technologist.
  • Prior experience in a Clinical or Pathology Laboratory is advantageous but not mandatory.
  • Certification from the American Society for Clinical Pathology (ASCP) is preferred but not essential.
  • Strong communication and analytical skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and documentation abilities.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Specimen Analysis & Reporting: Conduct precise specimen evaluations and accurately report findings, adhering to established protocols; identify deviations from expected results, troubleshoot issues using scientific methods; maintain daily QC Action Logs and preventative maintenance records.
  • Training & Mentorship: Support the onboarding and training of new team members; assess training progress and recommend enhancements to training methods and materials.
  • Process Improvement: Continuously evaluate laboratory workflows and propose improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and resolve operational challenges; oversee inventory management of laboratory reagents.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Medium Work - Requires exertion of 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; involves frequent walking, standing, or squatting.

For specific care programs, refer to departmental requirements for experience and educational expectations, including continuing education needs.

$39.00

LOCATION:

The stated compensation range is a good faith estimate of potential base pay for a successful full-time candidate. It may be adjusted in the future and is subject to additional pay components. Compensation is influenced by factors such as experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, and contractual agreements.
