Job Overview

Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Newark is actively seeking a Per Diem On Call Case Manager for our Mobile Response and Stabilization Services Program.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in social work or a related discipline
  • Possession of a valid driver's license

Responsibilities and Skills

  • Serve as the secondary member of a two-person team responding to after-hours dispatches
  • Support the primary on-call staff member of the Mobile Response and Stabilization Services program
  • Deliver crisis de-escalation and intervention, along with safety planning for families and children facing escalating behavioral or emotional challenges.

The duration of service varies, typically starting at a minimum of 72 hours and extending up to 8 weeks based on family needs. The Mobile Response Worker/on-call role concludes once the family is stabilized at the scene. Calls are managed through a centralized screening entity that assesses the necessity for Mobile Response and Stabilization Services. Upon receiving calls, the MRSS worker and the Mobile Response/on-call worker are required to respond within one hour, in accordance with contractual obligations. Our program operates 24/7, every day of the year, ensuring timely assistance.
