About the Opportunity

Cayuga Centers is excited to offer a challenging and rewarding Direct Care Coach position to individuals who are passionate about supporting people with developmental disabilities. Estimated Salary: $18.00 per hour, based on experience.

Job Description:

The Direct Care Coach will be responsible for providing direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities, focusing on building skills, promoting independence, and fostering community integration. This involves working closely with clients, their families, and other team members to ensure comprehensive support and care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide person-centered supports to individuals with developmental disabilities
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management
  • Support individuals in achieving their goals and objectives, including developing skills and participating in community activities
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation of client progress and services provided
  • Collaborate with other team members to ensure comprehensive support and care

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma required; one year of experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred
  • Certification in OPWDD Medication Administration, First Aid, CPR, SCIP-R, and other mandated certifications within a designated period after hiring
  • Valid NYS Driver's License and ability to travel to other agency locations as required
