Job Summary

The Occupational Therapist plays a crucial role in the rehabilitation process, helping patients to regain their physical, emotional, and mental well-being. This position requires strong clinical skills, effective communication, and leadership abilities to work closely with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Evaluates and treats patients, modifying therapy programs and goals as needed.
  • Performs thorough clinical documentation, enters charges accurately, and communicates effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
  • Supervises ancillary staff, students, and volunteers, advancing clinical skills through ongoing education and evidence-based practice.
  • Imparts knowledge to develop the clinical skills of colleagues, adhering to organizational, national, and state regulatory guidelines.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
  • Acute Care experience preferred.
  • Licensed Occupational Therapist (OT) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Salary and Benefits

Estimated annual salary: $65,000 - $85,000, depending on location and experience. Baylor Scott & White Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid time off.
