Position Overview:
Accountable for the management of credit union branch operations. Deliver exceptional service to members, assist in complex situations, act as a liaison for technology, and adhere to established policies and protocols. Support the training and onboarding of new personnel. Guide and mentor branch team members to meet sales, service, and member relationship objectives. Act as an interim leader in the absence of the Regional Sales Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to branch policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Assess branch operations to guarantee high-quality service and work standards.
- Oversee various branch operations including cash audits, ATM management, opening and closing logs, security measures, and overall branch presentation.
- Supervise a team of branch personnel.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and development opportunities for branch staff.
- Assist members with escalated issues and streamline branch workflows.
- Support the security and safety protocols of the branches and conduct periodic reviews of these policies.
- Collaborate with the Regional Sales Manager on branch supervision.
- Help staff or members resolve intricate account challenges.
- Maximize opportunities to enhance members' financial journeys by deepening member relationships.
- Guide a team of Member Advocate III to meet loan growth objectives.
- Promote financial counseling initiatives to improve members' financial well-being.
- Oversee the training and development of new hires to aid in retention and succession planning.
- Effectively present credit union products and services to members to drive business growth.
- Embrace change positively and implement necessary adjustments.
- Travel may be required.
- Understanding of banking deposit operations encompassing both deposits and lending.
- Capability to provide constructive feedback to all team members.
- Aptitude for influencing, educating, and connecting team members and members to technology.
- Familiarity with laws and regulations governing Credit Union operations.
- Ability to establish community connections and local business relationships.
- Prior leadership experience and training are preferred.
- Experience in customer service is essential.
- Business development/sales experience is highly desirable.
- Certification in Financial Counseling is a plus.
- Proficiency in Symitar and CX360 is required.
- A college degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field is highly preferred.
- At least 1 year of management experience is desired.
- Regularly required to sit for extended periods.
- Occasional lifting and/or moving of items weighing 15 lbs or less.
- May involve occasional bending, stooping, or crouching.
