Position Overview:
The Senior Video Production Coordinator is tasked with the vital role of capturing and editing video and audio content for training and public information initiatives within Austin Energy.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with clients to assess program requirements, explore production alternatives, assist in script development, and define overall content.
2. Conceptualize, design, and manage the production of video and audio materials for training, public education, promotional campaigns, and informational presentations.
3. Identify necessary video production equipment and make recommendations for acquisitions.
4. Set up, transport, and operate cameras, lighting, teleprompters, microphones, and other audio equipment while monitoring and adjusting settings during recording sessions.
5. Shoot and edit video, select music, design digital effects, and create graphics to produce a polished final product using advanced editing systems.
6. Write and edit scripts for video and audio productions, either independently or as part of a team.
7. Duplicate and distribute video and audio programs across various media formats to employees, the public, and other stakeholders.
8. Coordinate complex projects that may involve multiple departments.
9. Maintain, repair, and troubleshoot production equipment.
10. Provide training to staff on best practices in video production.

Qualifications:
Applicants must possess a Bachelor's degree in Radio-TV-Film, Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or a related field, along with two years of relevant experience. Experience may substitute for education up to four years.
Licenses:
A valid Texas Class C Driver License is required.

Preferred Skills:
- Experience in a public safety agency
- Familiarity with the City of Austin's operations
- Proficiency in disseminating information through social media platforms
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
- Demonstrated skills in video and photo capture and editing
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Excellent customer service abilities.

Knowledge and Abilities:
Applicants should demonstrate knowledge of media production techniques, supervisory principles, and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively. Proficiency in using non-linear editing systems and a strong understanding of visual media production is essential.
