About This Role

Lamar University is seeking a highly skilled Stewardship Coordinator to implement and coordinate a comprehensive strategy of donor recognition, stewardship, and donor communications. The successful candidate will be responsible for publishing and distributing stewardship reports on endowed funds, managing donor gift acknowledgements, and identifying opportunities to communicate with donors and alumni.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute comprehensive stewardship plans, including grand openings, luncheons, and fundraising events.
  • Maintain timely and transparent communication with University Advancement professional staff and donors, including record keeping and task management.
  • Balance and prioritize multiple tasks, including planned communications with donors, internal team members, and colleague consultations.
  • Manage relationships with external constituents, connecting donors of endowed sponsorship and students during planned activities.
  • Apply expertise to stewardship activities for the entire campus and develop an ongoing professional training schedule to identify and implement industry best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience in fund-raising, marketing, or donor stewardship.
  • Experience working with community and business leaders in business and social settings.
