Job Summary

Abilis is seeking a compassionate and skilled Residential LPN to provide exceptional care in our residential group homes. As a Residential LPN, you will play a pivotal role in supporting residents to live as independently as possible while ensuring their health, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide hands-on care, including toileting, bathing, feeding, and administering medications, with a focus on promoting residents' dignity and autonomy.
  • Monitor residents' health conditions, including vital signs, and report any significant changes to the healthcare team, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Ensure the overall health and safety of residents, addressing their daily needs with compassion and professionalism, and maintaining a clean and supportive living environment.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of all nursing activities, including care provided, changes in condition, and communication with healthcare providers, to ensure seamless care coordination.
  • Assist with the daily operation of the residential home, including domestic duties, and promote a warm, family-like atmosphere that fosters residents' learning, independence, and self-esteem.
  • Promote positive communication among staff, families, residents, and other stakeholders, and facilitate collaboration to adapt to varying situations and fulfill the homes' needs.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and training to enhance skills and stay current with best practices, ensuring the highest quality of care.
  • Promote positive relations within the community and advocate for the needs of the residents, ensuring their voices are heard and valued.
  • Respond to emergencies and provide first aid or basic life support as necessary, prioritizing residents' safety and well-being.
Qualifications
  • Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) certification.
  • A strong sense of empathy and compassion for the individuals we support.
  • Valid drivers license.
