Job Summary

The Accreditation Program Manager plays a critical role in ensuring the highest quality learning and teaching environment for the School of Medicine's Undergraduate Medical Education program. This position is responsible for managing all national and regional accreditation processes, working closely with faculty and staff leadership to meet key milestones and project managing faculty and task forces to ensure deadlines are met.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee the implementation of new programs and processes to ensure compliance with accreditation requirements.
  • Collaborate with faculty and staff leadership to identify and address areas for improvement in the accreditation process.
  • Manage the School of Medicine's education training affiliation program, working closely with campus legal counsel and UCSF's Government Contracts team and Business Contracts unit to ensure affiliation agreements are completed and processed according to accreditation requirements.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including faculty, staff, and external partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
  • Provide strategic guidance and support to faculty and staff to ensure the development and implementation of high-quality educational programs.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field, such as public policy, public administration, public health, law, or grant administration.
  • Minimum 5+ years of experience managing complex programs in higher education or coordinating a relevant program that provides project management or technical expertise to faculty administrators/dean.
  • Advanced organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize personal and team tasks and see projects through from inception to completion on schedule.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of staff and influence, both verbally and in writing.
  • Ability to use discretion and maintain all confidentiality.
  • Ability to multi-task with demanding timeframes.
