Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Produce Department Team Trainer to join our team at Whole Foods Market. As a key member of our produce team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality training programs to our team members, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide exceptional customer service and drive sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Training and Development
    • Design and deliver comprehensive training programs for produce team members, including product knowledge, customer service, and operational procedures.
    • Develop and maintain training materials, including manuals, guides, and visual aids.
    • Conduct regular training sessions, workshops, and one-on-one coaching to ensure team members have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed.
  • Team Leadership
    • Lead and motivate produce team members to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional customer service.
    • Collaborate with store leadership and other departments to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
    • Provide feedback and coaching to team members to improve performance and address areas for improvement.
  • Operational Excellence
    • Ensure all produce team members are trained on operational procedures, including inventory management, merchandising, and customer service.
    • Monitor and maintain high standards of store appearance, including produce displays and signage.
    • Collaborate with store leadership to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience
    • 6 months of experience in a retail or food service environment, preferably in a produce department.
    • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Skills and Abilities
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to train and develop team members to achieve sales goals and provide exceptional customer service.
    • Strong leadership and motivational skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
    • Basic computer skills and knowledge of software applications, including Microsoft Office.
  • Physical Requirements
    • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
    • Ability to stand for long periods and walk up to 6 hours in an 8-hour workday.
    • Ability to work in a cold environment and exposure to temperatures below 32°F.
Working Conditions

The Produce Department Team Trainer will work in a fast-paced retail environment, with frequent interactions with customers, team members, and store leadership. The ideal candidate will be able to work in a team environment, adapt to changing priorities, and maintain a positive attitude in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
