Position Summary

In alignment with the NMH framework for practice, the registered professional clinical nurse (RN) is accountable for delivering and coordinating clinically proficient, evidence-based care for a designated group of patients. The nurse adheres to the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing, the Code of Ethics, and the Nursing Social Policy Statement. Qualifications

Required:
  • Graduate of an NLN accredited nursing program.
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher.
  • Current Registered Professional Nurse license in the State of Illinois.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Analytical skills (conceptual and quantitative).
  • Effective oral, listening, and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in challenging situations.
  • Proficient in keyboarding for data entry and retrieval.
Preferred:
  • Experience in a specific clinical area.
  • Nursing specialty certification, if eligible.
