Position Summary

In alignment with the NMH framework for practice, the registered professional clinical nurse (RN) is accountable for delivering and coordinating clinically proficient, evidence-based care for a designated group of patients. This includes assessment, outcome identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care. The nurse adheres to the ANA Scope and Standards of Professional Nursing, the Code of Ethics, and the Nursing Social Policy Statement. Qualifications

Required:
  • Graduate of an NLN accredited nursing program.
  • Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher.
  • Current Registered Professional Nurse license in the State of Illinois.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.
  • Analytical skills (conceptual and quantitative).
  • Effective oral, listening, and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for effective collaboration in challenging situations.
  • Proficient in keyboarding for data entry and retrieval.
Preferred:
  • Experience in a specific clinical area.
  • Nursing specialty certification, if eligible.
