Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Solar Site Manager to lead our utility scale battery storage projects. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations, ensuring the successful completion of projects, and maintaining a safe and quality work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Leadership: Provide site leadership and manage the day-to-day operational decisions on utility scale battery storage projects.
  • Team Management: Direct, coordinate, and manage mechanical, electrical, and underground crew activities, including timecard submission and cost coding.
  • Quality Control: Oversee quality control processes and ensure all operations adhere to site specs outlined in the site drawings.
  • Logistics and Coordination: Oversee onsite logistics, ensuring the material and equipment are staged ahead of installation.
  • Customer Engagement: Attend customer-required meetings and address any questions that arise.
  • Problem-Solving: Consult with Operations Manager, Director of Construction to resolve problems that arise due to inclement weather, emergencies, or other issues that may cause delays.
Requirements
  • Education: High School diploma or GED required; advanced education preferred.
  • Experience: Five or more years of construction management in utility scale solar required; eight or more years of utility scale solar and/or construction experience required.
  • Certifications: NFPA 70E Certification preferred; OSHA training and certifications preferred.
  • Skills: Excellent communication skills, analytical thinking, problem-solving abilities, strong computer skills, and knowledge of pile/concrete foundations, AC and DC electrical work, and layered conduit routing.
Physical Demands and Work Environment

This job often operates in a field environment. This role routinely requires extended periods of standing, walking, bending, squatting, and lifting. Also, working in inclement weather conditions, such as extreme heat, extreme cold, rain, ice, snow, and wind.
