Job Title: Project Engineer

At Senergy, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Engineer to join our team. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and project coordination of electrical substations from conceptual design through construction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Stay up-to-date with changing technology and design methodologies associated with Electric Distribution design.
  • Represent Senergy and clients when meeting with stakeholders, including property owners, engineering firms, and construction services.
  • Effectively communicate with clients in a timely manner for assigned projects, representing Senergy.
  • Ensure adherence to client standards to develop detailed scope and engineering plans for projects.
  • Project management from start to finish, including scoping, design, and implementation.
  • Interpret codes and standards associated with projects and ensure adherence.
  • Develop timelines, coordinate tasks, and manage timelines until project completion.
  • Perform research, acquire permits, and coordinate CADD work with team members.
  • Maintain good project documentation, including calculations and design decisions.
  • Attend project meetings with clients to coordinate design and address issues.
  • Quality control project work to maintain expected standards for project deliverables.
  • Develop and maintain positive professional relationships with key client personnel.
  • Assist in preparing project schedules and budgets for timely completion.
  • Prepare project status reports and deliver to clients in a consistent and timely manner.
  • Accountable for resolving technical engineering conflicts that affect cost, schedule, quality, or customer satisfaction.
  • Mentor and/or train other staff members to transfer personal design knowledge.
  • Perform administrative duties as required, including mailings, office supply, and documentation reproductions.
  • Complete timesheets daily with project summaries and prepare accurate and complete invoice letter write-ups.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program.
  • Strong analytical and technical problem-solving skills and ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
  • 5 years' experience in industry or related industry.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) in the state of Texas.
Skills:
  • Exceptional computer skills, with emphasis in project management, spreadsheet, and word processing applications.
  • Strong skills of time management, organizational, and multi-tasking.
