About the Role

The JF Petroleum Group is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Journeyman Electrician to join our team as an Electrical Construction Coordinator. This is a full-time position that requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate Electrical Construction Jobs: Work directly with the Electrical Field Operations Manager to plan, organize, and control resources to maximize productivity and meet project budgets.
  • Assist on Projects as Electrical Lead: Help ensure quality and proper training of Crew Leaders and Helpers, while consistently demonstrating proficiency in all essential duties.
  • Attend Pre-Construction Meetings: Contribute to pre-construction meetings to ensure a smooth start to projects.
  • Report to Electrical Field Operations Manager: Function as an extension of the Electrical Field Operations Manager, attending on-site coordination meetings with customers and salesmen as needed.
  • Aid in Education and Enforcement of Company Policy: Help educate and enforce company policies and procedures, including site safety concerns.
  • Read and Interpret Blueprints: Read and interpret blueprints, plans, sketches, or product specifications to determine sequence and methods of assembly and installation of assigned products.
  • Work with Local Officials: Work directly with local Fire Marshalls, Inspectors, and other officials to ensure compliance with State and National Agencies' guidelines.
  • Stage and Select Materials: Stage and select materials based on information provided by salesmen and estimators, as indicated on drawings or other written instruction.
  • Lay Out and Mark Dimensions: Lay out and mark dimensions and reference lines in work areas to determine actual locations of system components.
  • Operate Tools and Equipment: Operate tools and equipment necessary to safely and efficiently complete assigned tasks.
Planning Activities
  • Work with Apprentice: Work with apprentices to set goals for personal production based on job schedules and budget requirements.
  • Review Safety Events: Review specific safety events for projects and develop and utilize JSA (Job Safety Analysis) for all work performed.
  • Review Work Plan: Periodically review work plans to ensure all information, tools, and materials required are present prior to beginning work.
  • Work with Management: Work with management to develop crew schedules and determine resource requirements to maintain maximum efficiency and production for each job.
Safety Activities
  • Understand and Comply with Safety Policies: Understand, comply, and enforce JF Petroleum Group safety policies and OSHA safety requirements.
  • Participate in Safety Programs: Participate in safety programs provided by the employer.
  • Identify Potential Safety Hazards: Identify potential safety hazards and either eliminate the hazard or report the problem to the Department Manager for resolution prior to beginning work.
  • Ensure Use of Proper Safety Equipment: Ensure the use of proper safety equipment at all times and by all employees under direction.
  • Report Accidents or Injuries: Report accidents or injuries to management immediately and aid in the investigation and documentation of job-related accidents.
  • Develop and Utilize JSA: Develop and utilize JSA (Job Safety Analysis) for each day's work.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED: High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Drivers License and Electrical Journeyman License: Drivers license (current, unrestricted, and free of moving violations) and a state Electrical Journeyman license required.
  • Meet Company Employment Requirements: Must be able to meet company's employment requirements, which includes passing a drug screen, criminal background check, and MVR, if driving for the company.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to repetitively lift, carry, push, pull up to 50 pounds, frequent bending, stooping, standing 8-10 hours per day.
