Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as a Wildland Firefighter. As a key member of our fire prevention and education team, you will be responsible for implementing comprehensive local level fire prevention education programs, developing and implementing plans for patrol routes, methods, and frequency of contacts and inspections, and coordinating with public organizations to promote awareness of wildland urban interface issues.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive fire prevention education programs for local communities.
  • Conduct regular patrols and inspections to identify and mitigate fire hazards.
  • Collaborate with public organizations to promote awareness of wildland urban interface issues and develop strategies to prevent wildfires.
  • Participate in program readiness reviews and serve as a fire investigation instructor.
  • Prepare fire trespass cases and provide training to other team members.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship is required.
  • Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
