Lead Veterinary Technician Role at Care Animal Hospital of Libertyville
Care Animal Hospital of Libertyville is a distinguished practice with a team of four veterinarians dedicated to the health and well-being of small animals, avian species, and exotic pets. We are in search of a committed lead veterinary technician to manage our team of technicians. The successful candidate will engage in a range of clinical, laboratory, facility management, and leadership responsibilities, which include:
Clinical Responsibilities:
- Assisting veterinarians during medical and surgical interventions
- Overseeing critical care for inpatients
- Facilitating effective communication within the animal care team
Laboratory Responsibilities:
- Collecting biological samples and conducting diagnostic evaluations
- Ensuring adherence to laboratory standards and protocols
Facility Management Responsibilities:
- Upholding cleanliness and sanitation of the premises
- Overseeing pharmacy inventory and supplies management
Leadership and Supervisory Responsibilities:
- Coordinating the schedules and assignments of veterinary technicians
- Providing training and development for team members
