Join a prominent player in the renewable energy sector as a Lead Interconnection and Transmission Engineer. This role is integral to the Transmission & Interconnection division, focusing on innovative renewable energy initiatives across the United States. The position offers flexibility to work remotely or from various office locations.

The Lead Interconnection and Transmission Engineer will be tasked with:

  • Conducting comprehensive transmission planning and generation interconnection analyses, including load flow, stability, and dynamic studies.
  • Utilizing advanced modeling tools such as PSS/E, TARA, PowerWorld, or PSLF to support project objectives.
  • Evaluating the implications of new generation and load integrations through a solid understanding of interconnection assessments.
  • Engaging with both internal teams and external partners to ensure seamless communication and project coordination.

Key Qualifications:

  • A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • 3-6+ years of pertinent experience in Power System Studies or Transmission Planning/Interconnection.
  • Proficiency in PSS/E, TARA, PSLF, PSCAD, EMTP, PowerWorld, and similar software.
  • Experience with one or more Independent System Operators/Regional Transmission Organizations (ISO/RTO) such as NYISO, ISO-NE, MISO, SPP, ERCOT, CAISO, or WECC.
