AECOM is seeking a highly skilled High Voltage Transmission Electrical Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Energy practice, you will be responsible for designing and developing high-voltage transmission and distribution systems, including HVDC converter stations and cable systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop high-voltage transmission and distribution systems, including HVDC converter stations and cable systems
  • Provide technical support for project development and execution, including feasibility studies and permitting
  • Collaborate with project engineers and managers to develop design schedules and budgets for electrical engineering work activities
  • Support clients with utility interface and technical coordination
  • Perform power system studies, including load flow, short circuit, and protective coordination analysis
  • Develop and analyze PSCAD models
  • Prepare one-line and three-line diagrams, AC/DC schematics, BOMs, wire schedules, and interconnection diagrams
  • Field experience, including witnessing testing of HVDC equipment and systems
  • Develop construction and equipment specifications
  • Support projects during construction, start-up, and commissioning
  • Grounding analysis and design
  • Review engineering work performed by peers
  • Attend client meetings
  • Assist in the promotion of AECOM's capabilities while maintaining our existing client base
  • Provide specialized technical input to studies and design efforts, and present complex technical solutions to clients
  • Perform quality control reviews of work developed by others
  • Participate in the development of technical proposals
  • Provide estimates for the engineering budget and schedule
