Medical Records Analyst

The selected candidate will assist in validating Authorization to Release Information, including retrieving and reviewing requests for compliance with regulations and processing requests.
Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting in processing requests for information from SSA.
- Ensuring all documents are identified with the required patient demographic data and compliant with regulations.
- Performing electronic file maintenance, including clearing old files and transferring authorized documents to permanent locations.
- Utilizing MHS GENESIS, legacy systems, and Health information Archive (HIA) to execute the release of information requests.
- Assisting with preparing the bi-weekly and monthly Statistical Data Reports.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Able to pass a Tier 1 (T1) Public Trust background investigation.
- 3-5 years of experience analyzing and processing medical records within the DoD/DHA.
- Must possess an accredited associate's degree or higher in a related field (preferred).
- Must possess excellent written and oral communications skills.
- Extensive knowledge/experience using the Military Health System (MHS) and understanding of military culture.
- Experience/knowledge of the Release of Information (ROI) within the DoD.
Travel Expectations: Travel is not required for this position.
