- Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance contracts to prevent equipment failures and ensure optimal system performance.
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain light commercial equipment, including refrigerant circuits, electrical circuits, and HVAC equipment.
- Scheduled Maintenance: Perform scheduled maintenance tasks, such as replacing belts and filters, and identify anomalies in HVAC equipment.
- Log Keeping: Accurately log HVAC equipment data, including refrigerant circuit, electrical circuit, and equipment condition.
- Specialized Skills: Possess the ability to braze, perform leak checks, and evacuate refrigerant systems.
- Commercial HVAC Knowledge: Understand commercial DX equipment up to 25 tons, intake/exhaust fans, split systems, heat pumps, water source heat pumps, min-splits, electric motor controls, and other related systems.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with team leads, coordination staff, sales staff, and customers to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Task Completion: Complete equipment log sheets for project managers and upload them into the database.
- Minimal Call-Backs: Complete assigned tasks with minimal call-backs and respond promptly to supervisor and dispatcher requests.
- Paperwork: Accurately complete all paperwork in a timely manner.
- Safe Work Practices: Adhere to basic safe work practices and follow company policies.
- Additional Responsibilities: Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the company from time to time.
- Universal EPA Certification: Possess a valid Universal EPA certification.
- Mechanical Drawing Understanding: Ability to understand mechanical drawings and equipment specifications.
- Refrigerant Cycle Knowledge: Demonstrated experience in understanding basic refrigerant cycles, various heating components, and air distribution systems.
- Communication Skills: Ability to communicate complex technical issues to customers in a clear and concise manner.
- Valid Driver's License: Possess a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
