Commercial Relationship Manager

Salary Range: $86,100 - $114,700 annually

At Midland States Bank, the base salary is one aspect of our Total Rewards program. The precise compensation is influenced by factors such as education, skills, internal equity, and experience. Position Overview

The Commercial Relationship Manager (CRM) is tasked with identifying and cultivating new client relationships for Midland States Bank. This role also involves maintaining and enhancing relationships with existing clients, whether inherited or developed by the CRM. The CRM acts in an advisory capacity, leveraging all available resources of Midland States Bank to assist clients. Furthermore, this position serves as an advocate for clients and prospects within the bank, striving for mutually beneficial solutions for both the client and the bank. Additionally, the CRM is expected to develop and sustain an active network of influential contacts within the market, focusing on both Commercial Real Estate and Commercial & Industrial opportunities. The CRM is anticipated to embody Midland States Bank's vision and values, representing them both internally and within the community.

Key Responsibilities

  • Demonstrated ability to generate a minimum of $10MM in new loan commitments annually.
  • Ability to collect a minimum of $20,000 in loan fees each year.
  • Develop a comprehensive strategy for all clients and prospects to consistently refer and integrate other Midland States Bank resources into the relationship.
  • Maintain an active list of loan and deposit prospects and conduct well-planned, value-added joint calls on those prospects.
  • Analyze financial data, structure and negotiate transactions, and perform ongoing credit maintenance tasks.
  • Minimize delinquencies by proactively collecting overdue loans and ensuring clients provide required reporting information promptly.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations.
  • Actively engage in team meetings and activities by contributing insights.
  • Complete all required training.
  • Proficient in relevant computer systems and applications.
  • Maintain current reporting of activities in the Client Management System.
  • Commit a minimum of 25 hours per year to organizational involvement that enhances business opportunities for the bank and supports its initiatives.
  • Occasional travel may be required for training and team meetings, as well as periodic travel to locations within the market as necessary.
  • May require working in a Midland office to ensure collaboration and support for internal and external customers.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable regulations, including but not limited to the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business, Accounting, or a related field.
  • A minimum of three years of experience in Commercial Banking.
  • Successful completion of Bank Training specific to the position.
  • Proficiency in job-related computer applications.
  • Direct sales experience of three to five years.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding annual goals for the past three years.
