Job Summary

As a Herbicide Operator 3 at Syngenta Crop Protection, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of various types of formulating equipment. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Operating formulating equipment in accordance with established procedures and guidelines.
  • Troubleshooting equipment issues and collaborating with colleagues to resolve problems.
  • Effectively utilizing safety equipment, such as respirators and protective clothing, to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Monitoring and maintaining formulation batch cycle times to meet production goals.
  • Providing feedback and implementing corrective actions to improve processes and efficiency.
  • Performing proceduralized operations, including operating forklifts and performing hand additions to formulation vessels.
  • Working overtime and rotating shifts as required to meet business needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Equipment Operation: Safely and efficiently operate various types of formulating equipment, including formulators, mixers, and pumps.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve equipment issues, collaborating with colleagues to ensure minimal downtime and optimal production.
  • Safety Protocols: Adhere to established safety procedures, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and following standard operating procedures (SOPs).
  • Batch Cycle Time Management: Monitor and maintain formulation batch cycle times to meet production goals, providing feedback and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Process Improvement: Collaborate with colleagues to identify areas for process improvement, implementing changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
