The Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and medication management to a diverse population, including children. Key Responsibilities- Conduct initial psychiatric evaluations and ongoing psychiatric care of patients, including mental status examinations, diagnostic assessments, and psycho-pharmacological management.
- Provide patient education and counseling on mental health topics, including disease prevention and health promotion.
- Collaborate with the behavioral health team to develop and implement treatment plans.
- Document medical records accurately and efficiently, staying up-to-date with the EMR process.
- Participate in quality improvement reviews and activities, serving as a psychiatric clinical resource for staff, clients, and families.
- Practice as an outpatient provider, managing a caseload of patients and providing administrative support as needed.
- Participate in call schedules for psychiatric services, including weekend calls as needed.
- Licensed by the State of Pennsylvania as both a Registered Nurse (RN) and a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner (CRNP).
- Valid DEA and CRNP Prescriptive Authority.
- Psychiatric Certification.
- Master's or post-master's degree in nursing from an accredited program.
- Experience performing comprehensive health evaluations and working in a mental health specialty.
- CPR and BLS Certifications.
- Valid PA driver's license.
