Job Overview

Frontier Schools, a leading charter school district in the Kansas City area, is seeking an experienced Academic Support Specialist for the upcoming school year.

About the Role

We are looking for a qualified educator to join our team as a Special Education Teacher. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) for students with special needs.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective instructional strategies to meet the diverse needs of students with special educational requirements.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless support for students across all subject areas.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to keep them informed about student progress.
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills and stay up-to-date on best practices.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, candidates must possess:

  • A valid Missouri teaching certificate with a specialization in Special Education.
  • A Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
  • Strong knowledge of curriculum design and delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Schedule

This is a full-time position with a regular 8-hour shift, Monday through Friday.
