Salary

We offer a competitive base salary aligned with the market, along with additional incentives and bonus opportunities. Estimated annual salary: $65,000 - $80,000.

Job Description

As a Flex Teacher at Phalen Leadership Academies, you will work closely with teachers of record to ensure scholars master academic and social skills necessary for success. Your responsibilities include:

  • Assisting teachers of record in setting ambitious goals for student achievement
  • Holding scholars accountable for accomplishing those goals
  • Becoming the teacher of record if a vacancy becomes available

Key Deliverables

You will be expected to meet the following deliverables:

  • 100% of scholars meet projected growth goals for ELA and Math
  • 85% scholar satisfaction on classroom surveys
  • 90% of scholars persist through the academic year
  • 95% average daily scholar attendance
  • 1.5 years growth for each scholar not performing on grade level

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you must have:

  • A passion for working with students and families in under-served communities
  • A Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited college or university
  • A valid State Teacher License or enrollment in a credentialing program
  • Effective pedagogical skills driven by standards and data-driven assessment
  • Experience tracking and using data to drive instruction
