Job OverviewAdhesives Research is seeking a skilled Production Operator 3rd Shift to join our team. As a key member of our production team, you will be responsible for performing a variety of production tasks, including setting up equipment, adjusting and operating equipment, and inspecting and testing products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform production tasks, including setting up equipment, adjusting and operating equipment, and inspecting and testing products.
• Accurately perform work assignments and computer transactions, including adjusting inventory and performing calculations using various units of measure.
• Demonstrate ability to perform any of the various operations within the department.
• Perform visual inspection of all materials used and produced.
• Perform periodic preventative maintenance on equipment.
• Maintain work flow and ensure use of proper materials and tools.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment, notifying lead operator and/or supervisor of unsafe practices, conditions, or acts.
• Achieve quality and throughput goals.
• Perform work according to SPAR's, WI's, and verbal instructions, seeking lead operator and/or supervisor assistance in resolving problems not covered by procedures.
• Effectively communicate with other associates, lead operators, supervisors, and maintain self-confidence and self-esteem of others, relaying information to the next shift, and voluntarily assisting other associates.
• Complete required verifications and paperwork/documentation accurately and neatly.
• Participate in training and assist with training, where applicable.
• Collaborate and contribute to the development of new products, processes, and equipment.
• Participate in problem-solving and take initiative to make changes through change control procedures.
• Responsible for following all relevant regulations (e.g. ISO, FDA, OSHA, EPA, DEP, etc.) and company procedures.
• Responsible for following all applicable waste handling procedures.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent, and previous production experience is highly desirable (preferably in web handling, such as paper or fabric manufacturing, printing, coating, etc.).
• Uses procedures and skills, which require considerable training, to carry out assignments.
• Operators work per instructions (verbal and written) and consult with lead operator and/or supervisor as needed on matters not specifically covered by instructions; work is cross-checked to review for accuracy, adequacy, and adherence to instructions.
• Conforms to Company policies and procedures, Quality Systems, etc.
• Work environment involves moderate risks or discomforts requiring special safety precautions, e.g., working around moving parts, machines, and irritant chemicals; may be required to use personal protective equipment such as masks, uniforms, hairnets, gloves, safety glasses/goggles, shields, etc.
• Physical exertion such as long periods of standing, recurring bending, crouching, stooping, stretching, reaching, or similar activities should be expected; recurring lifting of moderately heavy items (objects 50-100 pounds with lift assist); requires common physical characteristics and abilities, such as above-average agility and dexterity.
• The work involves the execution of procedures which make up a finished product of a broader scope; the component product affects the accuracy, reliability, or acceptability of further processing.
