Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to fill the Vital Statistics Clerk I role at DHSS - Division of Social Services. As a member of our team, you will play a crucial role in reviewing legal documents, verifying information, and issuing certified vital records.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication skills. A background in document processing, record keeping, and math is essential for success in this role.

The estimated salary for this position is $15.20 per hour, reflecting the competitive pay rate in the area. As a long-term, casual/seasonal employee, you can enjoy a stable income while working Monday-Friday from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Review and evaluate records for completeness and accuracy.
  2. Apply knowledge of laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  3. Use an automated information system to track and monitor activities.
Essential Requirements
  • Six months experience in document processing.
  • Knowledge of math concepts including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, percentages, and decimals.
  • Familiarity with using automated information systems.
