Description:

General Dynamics Land Systems is a prominent entity in the design, development, production, support, and maintenance of tracked and wheeled military equipment, notably the Abrams Main Battle Tank and the Stryker Family of Wheeled Combat Vehicles.

We invite skilled candidates to join our sub-assembly department. Below are the essential duties and responsibilities:

  • Prepare for assembly tasks by reviewing assembly instructions, specifications, and parts lists; gather necessary parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Position parts and subassemblies accurately using templates or measurements.
  • Assemble components by ensuring correct fit and fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Verify specifications by measuring completed components.
  • Resolve assembly issues through fine adjustments to meet specifications, and communicate with supervisors for additional resources as needed.
  • Maintain equipment functionality by adhering to cleaning and lubrication protocols, troubleshooting malfunctions, and coordinating repairs.
  • Ensure a safe and clean working environment by following established procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Manage supplies inventory by checking stock levels, anticipating needs, and placing orders with team advisors.
  • Utilize resources efficiently to achieve job results.
  • Document actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Contribute to team efforts by achieving related results as required.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Background Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Ability to perform mechanical tasks and demonstrate mechanical aptitude.
  • Must be a U.S. Person.
