Role Overview
The primary responsibility of this position is to manage the daily functions of the Pharmacy department within a retail environment. This includes assisting customers with their healthcare needs by accurately filling prescriptions and delivering exceptional customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the precision and appropriateness of all prescriptions by conducting thorough Drug Utilization Reviews and Final Quality Assurance in accordance with state and federal regulations.
- Administer immunizations and vaccinations, as well as participate in clinical programs such as Medication Therapy Management (MTM) and community outreach initiatives.
- Supervise the daily operations of the Pharmacy department, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide expert counseling to customers regarding their medications.
- Drive the growth and profitability of the Pharmacy department through effective management practices.
- Address and resolve customer inquiries and complaints to foster trust and loyalty.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient Pharmacy environment.
- Offer leadership and development opportunities for associates, promoting a culture of recognition and appreciation.
Qualifications
To be considered for this role, candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor's degree (BS) or Doctoral degree (PHARM.D.) in Pharmacy, along with Immunization Certification from an accredited organization.
- A minimum of one year of experience as a licensed Pharmacist in a retail setting.
Licenses and Certifications Required
- Valid Pharmacist License in the state of practice.
- Valid Immunization Certification and, if necessary, a valid Immunization License in accordance with state regulations.
