Vehicle Systems Simulation Specialist

Tesla's Vehicle Dynamics Modelling team is responsible for creating simulations that accurately predict the behavior of our vehicles. This requires expertise in multibody dynamics, software development, and data analysis. As a member of this team, you'll work closely with engineers to develop and maintain complex models and infrastructure, ensuring seamless integration into our engineering processes. Your creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail will help drive innovation and excellence in our vehicle designs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement motion platform testing procedures and best practices
  • Develop and maintain real-time models, software-in-the-loop, and hardware-in-the-loop testing infrastructure
  • Collaborate with engineers to establish performance goals for different vehicle specifications, markets, controls, and autonomous vehicles
  • Analyze data from motion platform testing to inform vehicle design decisions
  • Communicate findings clearly and timely to stakeholders
Requirements:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • 5+ years of experience in multibody or other mechanical system modeling
  • Experience in motion platform testing, vehicle instrumentation, and data analysis
  • Creative problem-solving skills with a desire for continued learning
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Experience in vehicle subjective evaluation on public roads and proving grounds is a plus
Compensation and Benefits:

As a full-time Tesla employee, you'll be eligible for competitive pay, benefits, and perks. Estimated annual salary: $84,000 - $204,000 + cash and stock awards + benefits.
